Cuba Mural Project
Our studio has become involved with Cuba, NY’s latest wall mural. It is a mural that will be going up soon and consists of eighteen panels. Six of those panel are coming out of Auntie’s Place Studio. The panels depict various scenes from around Cuba, present and past. They are painted on cement backing boards with paint that is supposed to last for 50 years. The panels are 30 inches by 36 inches. They have been a real challenge but the final products look great.
This first one is by Sally Ann Miller and depicts a scene from the Cuba library. Sally was a reading teacher so this subject is close to her heart. It depicts Mrs. Poelma reading to the children.
Sally this is wonderful! It instantly sweeps one back to a safe and wondrous place in life..you did a fabulous job. Congratulations!!
Thanks Margaret, Sally appreciated your comment.

How wonderful for you all. Now I will have to take an excursion to Cuba next time I am around. Ran into Arleen the other day at the Scottish festival in Mayville. She looks great. Both of us have to get back down to your studio. I am sorry I am going to miss your B-day. Know it will be a happy one for you. Mary Anne
